The three-hectare site opens up a valuable space for relaxation, sports, and neighborly gatherings in an attractive riverside environment. While final touches are still underway, visitors are advised to be cautious. However, the park is now fully accessible.
Because the site is in an active flood zone and cannot host permanent structures, the space has been shaped primarily through sensitive landscaping informed by an urban-ecological design competition, enhanced with appropriate furniture and sports features. The park preserves its natural vegetation, supplemented with new plantings that recall traditional fruit orchards. A central open grassy area serves as a focal point. True to its name, the park emphasizes its connection to water, offering newly created river access points and a drinking water spring. (A refreshment pond is not yet operational due to technical issues.)
In early August, a refreshment stand and accessible restrooms will open at a nearby site at Varhulíkové 12.
