From 8 January to 28 February, a rummage sale of jewellery donated in a collection for homeless women will be taking place at the Letná Family Centre (Janovského 24). The proceeds will be used for medicine and to cover administrative costs. Thanks in advance to donors and shoppers. www.rcletna.cz
On 26 January, a bazaar of children’s clothes and supplies will take place at Vnitroblock. Proceeds will go to the group Apolinář Preemies, which supports the neonatology department at Apolinář Maternity Hospital. You can experience the atmosphere of a traditional Czech pig slaughter and taste local specialities at the event Letná Pig at the National Museum of Agriculture 26 January from 10am to 5pm. Entrance to the event and the exhibits is CZK 50; kids and seniors are free. www.nzm.cz
The City of Prague Botanical Garden is organising night-time tours of the Fata Morgana greenhouse from 18 January to 31 March. From 24 January to 17 February a new outdoor exhibit will present birds, birdhouses and the principles of winter feeding.
