Join us in cleaning up Prague as part of the nationwide campaign Let’s Clean Up the Czech Republic. The event kicks off 1 April, but you can clean up any other time as well. You can register your clean-up on the website even now and get the organisers to send you a clean-up package with trash bags and gloves.

Starting 6 April you can once again ride the old Letná Carousel. A ride on a horse or car is possible from 2 years up, takes 5 minutes and costs CZK 100. Tickets are sold on-site. The carousel runs from Friday to Sunday and on holidays.
Prague 7 is fixing up school buildings: it repaired the roof and facade of ZŠ Fr. Plamínkové, to be followed in the summer by redoing the cafeteria roof of ZŠ Strossmayerovo náměstí and replacing the wiring at ZŠ Tusarova and ZŠ Umělecká. Next year the roof of ZŠ Letohradská will see renovations.

The charity shop of organisation Cesta domů (Bubenská 3) will re-open in March following renovations. It will continue to offer beautiful secondhand goods, publications and design stationery, plus small gift items. You can also donate items yourself. Find more information on the website.

The first Saturday of every month, an open running race of 3.2 km (1.6 km for children under 12) is held at Výstaviště. There is a hot cinnamon pancake waiting at the finish line for every runner. It starts 4 March at 9am from Marold Panorama. Voluntary entry fee of CZK 50.

Prague Botanical Garden is organising its traditional March exhibition of orchids, this time with species from Vietnam. The show includes plants for sale and lasts until 19 March.

The spring Dyzajn Market at Výstaviště 11 and 12 March will delight you with an offer of original design of all types from 10am to 6pm each day. Admission is free and four-legged friends are welcome.

The American café Ezra’s Bagels will host a performance by London-based singer VLMV (pronounced ALMA) on 18 March.

An exhibit by painter and street artist Pavel Dušek at Trafo Gallery will present his newest painted concrete reliefs. The opening will take place 23 March at 7pm and the show will run until 30 April.

In the new circus performance NonSen(s) on 7, 8 and 9 March at 7:30pm, the acrobats from AirGym Art Company will perform a hanging and ground acrobatics show on the theme of the imagination and dreaming at Jatka78.

МЧ Прага 7 проводить ремонт шкільних будівель – були відремонтовані дах і фасад Початкової школи Fr. Plamínkové, а влітку планується ремонт даху над їдальнею Початкової школи Strossmayerovo náměstí та заміна електропроводки в Початковій школі Tusarova та Umělecká. Наступного року ремонтуватимуть дах Початкової школи Letohradská.
