I\u00a0kdy\u017e je samouk, s\u00a0jeho v\u00fdstavami jste se mohli setkat v\u00a0New Yorku, Lond\u00fdn\u011b, Moskv\u011b i\u00a0v\u00a0Sao Paulu. T\u0159i roky za\u00a0sebou tak\u00e9 vede \u017eeb\u0159\u00ed\u010dek J&#038;T Banka Art Index, kter\u00fd slou\u017e\u00ed jako vod\u00edtko pro sb\u011bratele, do\u00a0\u010deho je dobr\u00e9 investovat. Ve\u00a0Veletr\u017en\u00edm pal\u00e1ci m\u016f\u017eete aktu\u00e1ln\u011b zhl\u00e9dnout jeho v\u00fdstavu nazvanou T\u0159et\u00ed mysl. Ji\u0159\u00ed Kovanda a\u00a0(Ne)mo\u017enost spolupr\u00e1ce. Kovanda na\u00a0Letn\u00e9 nejen bydl\u00ed, ale dvacet let tak\u00e9 u\u010d\u00ed na\u00a0Akademii v\u00fdtvarn\u00fdch um\u011bn\u00ed.<\/p><p>[\/perex]<\/p><p><strong>P\u0159edstavte si \u010dlov\u011bka, kter\u00fd nikdy nebyl v\u00a0galerii. Jak byste mu popsal, co d\u011bl\u00e1te?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>To jsou nejzr\u00e1dn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed ot\u00e1zky. Konceptu\u00e1ln\u00ed um\u011bn\u00ed, pokud bych se dr\u017eel nejobecn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed definice, je typ um\u011bn\u00ed, kter\u00e9 nespol\u00e9h\u00e1 na\u00a0vizu\u00e1ln\u00ed vyzn\u011bn\u00ed v\u011bc\u00ed. To, o\u00a0co jde, se odehr\u00e1v\u00e1 mimo oko, pouze v\u00a0mysli nebo lidsk\u00e9 zku\u0161enosti. Skrze oko p\u0159ich\u00e1z\u00ed jen informace. Tak\u017ee kdy\u017e mluv\u00edme o\u00a0performanc\u00edch, pr\u00e1v\u011b u\u00a0nich se jedn\u00e1 o\u00a0aktivitu, kterou um\u011blec prov\u00e1d\u00ed s\u00e1m v\u00a0n\u011bjak\u00e9m prost\u0159ed\u00ed. Nez\u00e1vis\u00ed p\u0159itom na\u00a0tom, jak akce esteticky vypad\u00e1, ale d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 je, co se d\u011bje. A\u00a0div\u00e1k by v\u0161e m\u011bl uchopit ve\u00a0sv\u00e9 mysli nejen skrze sv\u016fj zrak.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>D\u00e1 se tedy \u0159\u00edct, \u017ee konceptu\u00e1ln\u00ed um\u011bn\u00ed je um\u011bn\u00ed my\u0161lenek?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>My\u0161len\u00ed hraje roli v\u00a0ka\u017ed\u00e9m um\u011bn\u00ed. Ale mnohem d\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00ed je citov\u00e1 a\u00a0zku\u0161enostn\u00ed str\u00e1nka v\u011bci, tedy to, co se ned\u00e1 racion\u00e1ln\u011b pochopit. To je spole\u010dn\u00e9 t\u0159eba i\u00a0pro mal\u00ed\u0159stv\u00ed nebo socha\u0159stv\u00ed. Ale tam je d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e1 i\u00a0estetick\u00e1, v\u00fdtvarn\u00e1 str\u00e1nka v\u011bci, kter\u00e1 m\u00e1 u\u00a0konceptu\u00e1ln\u00edho um\u011bn\u00ed jen podru\u017enou roli.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Konceptu\u00e1ln\u00ed um\u011bn\u00ed vzniklo v\u00a0polovin\u011b \u0161edes\u00e1t\u00fdch let. Ale u\u017e v\u00a0roce 1917 vystavil Marcel Duchamp v\u00a0galerii pr\u00e1zdn\u00fd piso\u00e1r, kter\u00fd se pozd\u011bji prodal za\u00a02,5 milionu dolar\u016f. V\u00a0\u010dem byl tak p\u0159elomov\u00fd?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>\u0160lo o\u00a0p\u0159\u00edmou demonstraci toho, \u017ee um\u011bn\u00ed nespo\u010d\u00edv\u00e1 v\u00a0samotn\u00e9m p\u0159edm\u011btu, ale v\u00a0tom, co j\u00edm chce um\u011blec sd\u011blit. Um\u011bn\u00edm m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt jak\u00fdkoli p\u0159edm\u011bt, ale z\u00e1le\u017e\u00ed na\u00a0tom, jak s\u00a0n\u00edm um\u011blec zach\u00e1z\u00ed, jak jej prezentuje a\u00a0jestli um\u00ed vytvo\u0159it situaci, kter\u00e1 n\u011bco sd\u011bluje. V\u00a0tomto p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b Duchamp pou\u017eil b\u011b\u017enou v\u011bc ka\u017edodenn\u00ed pot\u0159eby, kter\u00e1 nav\u00edc nen\u00ed ani nijak esteticky p\u0159ita\u017eliv\u00e1. Postavil ji do\u00a0v\u00fdstavn\u00ed s\u00edn\u011b na\u00a0socha\u0159sk\u00fd sokl a\u00a0naprosto zm\u011bnil jej\u00ed kontext. Div\u00e1k si tak mohl uv\u011bdomit spoustu v\u011bc\u00ed \u2013 co to znamen\u00e1, kdy\u017e se n\u011bco prezentuje v\u00a0galerii, mohl si v\u0161imnout p\u0159edm\u011btu samotn\u00e9ho, kter\u00fd norm\u00e1ln\u011b v\u00a0\u017eivot\u011b u\u017e ani nevn\u00edm\u00e1, nebo na\u00a0sebe nechat p\u016fsobit jeho tvar. Duchamp\u016fv piso\u00e1r jsem vid\u011bl shodou okolnost\u00ed ned\u00e1vno v\u00a0Lond\u00fdn\u011b, a\u00a0kdy\u017e si jej prohl\u00e9dnete ze v\u0161ech stran, zjist\u00edte, \u017ee v\u00a0mnoh\u00e9m p\u0159ipom\u00edn\u00e1 d\u00edla socha\u0159\u016f z\u00a0pades\u00e1t\u00fdch let, jako byl t\u0159eba Henry Moore. D\u016fle\u017eitou roli hraje i\u00a0n\u00e1zev. V\u00a0tomto p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b jde o\u00a0Font\u00e1nu nebo tak\u00e9 podle jin\u00e9ho p\u0159ekladu o\u00a0Stud\u00e1nku, co\u017e v\u00a0sob\u011b nese ur\u010ditou poetiku. Na\u00a0prvn\u00ed pohled se m\u016f\u017ee zd\u00e1t, \u017ee se jedn\u00e1 o\u00a0velmi jednoduch\u00e9 a\u00a0primitivn\u00ed gesto. Ale kdy\u017e se \u010dlov\u011bk za\u010dne um\u011bn\u00edm v\u00edc zab\u00fdvat, zjist\u00ed, \u017ee podobn\u00e1 d\u00edla obohacuj\u00ed vn\u00edm\u00e1n\u00ed sv\u011bta kolem n\u00e1s. A\u00a0to je to nejcenn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Jako t\u0159eba va\u0161e performance L\u00edb\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159es sklo?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Tu jsem prvn\u011b uspo\u0159\u00e1dal v\u00a0roce 2007 v\u00a0lond\u00fdnsk\u00e9 Tate Gallery. \u0160lo o\u00a0situaci, kdy jsem st\u00e1l na\u00a0jedn\u00e9 stran\u011b dlouh\u00e9 sklen\u011bn\u00e9 st\u011bny, kter\u00e1 se t\u00e1hla p\u0159es galerii. N\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvn\u00edci se nach\u00e1zeli na\u00a0druh\u00e9 stran\u011b s\u00a0v\u00fdzvou, \u017ee je zvu na\u00a0polibek p\u0159es sklo. \u0160lo o\u00a0intimn\u00ed akt souvisej\u00edc\u00ed s\u00a0lidsk\u00fdmi city a\u00a0bl\u00edzkost\u00ed. Pol\u00edbit n\u011bkoho p\u0159es sklo je toti\u017e skoro to sam\u00e9, jako jej pol\u00edbit ve\u00a0skute\u010dnosti, nicm\u00e9n\u011b ke\u00a0skute\u010dn\u00e9mu polibku nedojde. Je to n\u011bco, co se vzp\u00edr\u00e1 b\u011b\u017en\u00e9mu uva\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed. V\u00a0b\u011b\u017en\u00e9m \u017eivot\u011b v\u0161e rozd\u011blujeme na\u00a0\u010dern\u00e9 a\u00a0b\u00edl\u00e9, bu\u010f a\u00a0nebo, ano a\u00a0ne, ale m\u011b zaj\u00edmaj\u00ed situace, kdy se tato dualita poru\u0161\u00ed a\u00a0ob\u011b mo\u017enosti nastanou z\u00e1rove\u0148.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Po\u0159\u00e1dal jste podobn\u00e9 akce i\u00a0tady na\u00a0Letn\u00e9 nebo v\u00a0Hole\u0161ovic\u00edch?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Ano, zrovna L\u00edb\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159es sklo jsem n\u011bkolikr\u00e1t opakoval, naposledy ve\u00a0Veletr\u017en\u00edm pal\u00e1ci na\u00a0vernis\u00e1\u017ei v\u00fdstavy Velkorysost.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>L\u00edbaj\u00ed jinak \u010ce\u0161i a\u00a0jinak cizinci?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Ne\u0159ekl bych. Existuj\u00ed samoz\u0159ejm\u011b m\u00edsta, kde jsou lid\u00e9 vst\u0159\u00edcn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed a\u00a0otev\u0159en\u011bj\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e n\u011bkde jinde. Ale to ani tak nevych\u00e1z\u00ed z\u00a0charakteru lid\u00ed jako sp\u00ed\u0161 z\u00a0prost\u0159ed\u00ed, kde se to odehr\u00e1v\u00e1.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Dok\u00e1\u017eu si p\u0159edstavit, jak se obchoduje s\u00a0obrazy nebo sochami. Ale jak se prod\u00e1v\u00e1 polibek?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Pokud jde o\u00a0performanci, z\u00a0n\u00ed lze po\u0159\u00eddit z\u00e1znam \u2013 a\u0165 u\u017e bude t\u0159eba na\u00a0videu, nebo p\u016fjde o\u00a0fotografickou dokumentaci dopln\u011bnou popisem. Um\u011blec pak mus\u00ed z\u00e1znam autorizovat, tak\u017ee sb\u011bratel z\u00edsk\u00e1 certifik\u00e1t s\u00a0osv\u011bd\u010den\u00edm, \u017ee jde o\u00a0origin\u00e1l. Funguje to stejn\u011b, jako kdy\u017e se obchoduje s\u00a0fotografiemi nebo grafikami.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kdysi jsem \u010detl p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh o\u00a0japonsk\u00e9m hudebn\u00edkovi jm\u00e9nem Merzbow, kter\u00fd sv\u00e9 album vydal na\u00a0CD, to vlo\u017eil do \u00a0upraven\u00e9ho autor\u00e1dia s\u00a0nekone\u010dnou smy\u010dkou v\u00a0mercedesu sv\u00e9ho vydavatele a\u00a0album pak prod\u00e1vali i\u00a0s\u00a0autem jako sb\u011bratelsk\u00fd box. Nenapadlo v\u00e1s n\u011bkdy n\u011bco podobn\u00e9ho?<\/strong> <br \/>\r\n Takov\u00e9 mimo\u0159\u00e1dn\u00e9 v\u011bci se d\u011bj\u00ed, ale j\u00e1 jsem p\u0159ijal b\u011b\u017en\u00fd model, kter\u00fd funguje a\u00a0vyhovuje mi. Existuj\u00ed samoz\u0159ejm\u011b r\u016fzn\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edstupy \u2013 jsou um\u011blci performe\u0159i, kte\u0159\u00ed nap\u0159\u00edklad ned\u011blaj\u00ed v\u016fbec \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 z\u00e1znamy, tak\u017ee jejich akce existuje pouze v\u00a0\u017eiv\u00e9 podob\u011b a\u00a0ve\u00a0chv\u00edli, kdy se odehr\u00e1v\u00e1.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Zn\u00e1m\u00e1 srbsk\u00e1 um\u011blkyn\u011b Marina Abramovi\u0107 kr\u00e1\u010dela sama t\u0159i m\u011bs\u00edce po\u00a0Velk\u00e9 \u010d\u00ednsk\u00e9 zdi, aby se uprost\u0159ed n\u00ed setkala se sv\u00fdm tehdej\u0161\u00edm partnerem, kter\u00fd urazil stejnou cestu z\u00a0opa\u010dn\u00e9 strany. Tam si \u0159ekli sbohem a\u00a0vydali se ka\u017ed\u00fd zase zp\u011bt. Za\u0161el jste p\u0159i n\u011bkter\u00e9 performanci do\u00a0krajnosti i\u00a0vy?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Ne, nikdy a\u00a0nikde jsem nem\u011bl chu\u0165 se zab\u00fdvat n\u011b\u010d\u00edm, co vede do\u00a0jak\u00e9koli krajnosti. V\u017edycky m\u011b zaj\u00edmaly v\u011bci, kter\u00e9 vych\u00e1zej\u00ed z\u00a0ka\u017edodenn\u00edho \u017eivota a\u00a0situac\u00ed. Ve\u00a0sv\u00fdch performanc\u00edch, objektech a\u00a0kol\u00e1\u017e\u00edch se sna\u017e\u00edm odhalovat hranice mezi t\u00edm, co je um\u011bn\u00edm a\u00a0co j\u00edm nen\u00ed, nebo co by j\u00edm mohlo b\u00fdt. Sna\u017e\u00edm se osah\u00e1vat mo\u017enosti zd\u00e1nliv\u011b b\u011b\u017en\u00fdch v\u011bc\u00ed, jako to bylo v\u00a0p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b Duchampova piso\u00e1ru.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kdy\u017e mluv\u00edte o\u00a0v\u0161ednodennosti. Ned\u00e1vno p\u0159ed Veletr\u017en\u00edm pal\u00e1cem vystavoval Aj Wej-wej, kter\u00fd je v\u00edce ne\u017e um\u011blec sp\u00ed\u0161 \u0159editel kreativn\u00ed tov\u00e1rny s\u00a0v\u00fdtvarn\u00edky, asistenty a\u00a0\u0159idi\u010di, ji\u017e pro n\u011bj pracuj\u00ed. Potkali jste se v\u00a0Praze?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Ne, nikdy jsme se spolu nesetkali. Po\u00a0pravd\u011b \u0159e\u010deno mn\u011b tato poloha moc nesed\u00ed. Aj Wej-wej d\u011bl\u00e1 \u010dasto v\u011bci, kter\u00e9 jsou velmi n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00e9 na\u00a0prost\u0159edky, materi\u00e1l a\u00a0tak\u00e9 vy\u017eaduj\u00ed sou\u010dinnost mnoha lid\u00ed. M\u011b zaj\u00edm\u00e1 projev, kter\u00fd\u00a0se d\u00e1 ud\u011blat snadno a\u00a0mohl by ho vytvo\u0159it teoreticky kdokoli. To je protip\u00f3l jeho instalac\u00ed.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Nyn\u00ed je ve\u00a0Veletr\u017en\u00edm pal\u00e1ci mo\u017en\u00e9 nav\u0161t\u00edvit va\u0161i v\u00fdstavu T\u0159et\u00ed mysl. Ji\u0159\u00ed Kovanda a\u00a0(Ne)mo\u017enost spolupr\u00e1ce. Co je na\u00a0n\u00ed k\u00a0vid\u011bn\u00ed?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>K\u00a0t\u00e9to v\u00fdstav\u011b jsem vyzval \u0161estn\u00e1ct kolegy\u0148 a\u00a0koleg\u016f p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm z\u00a0\u010cesk\u00e9 republiky, ale i\u00a0ze zahrani\u010d\u00ed. Jednotliv\u011b s\u00a0ka\u017ed\u00fdm z\u00a0nich vytvo\u0159\u00edm spole\u010dnou pr\u00e1ci, a\u00a0ty pak budou dohromady skl\u00e1dat celek v\u00fdstavy. V\u00a0jej\u00edm pr\u016fb\u011bhu se bude odehr\u00e1vat bohat\u00fd doprovodn\u00fd program s\u00a0p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161kami, projekcemi, diskuzemi i\u00a0workshopy a\u00a0v\u0161e se bude t\u00fdkat problematiky spolupr\u00e1ce.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Na\u00a0Akademii v\u00fdtvarn\u00fdch um\u011bn\u00ed u\u010d\u00edte u\u017e dvacet let. Zm\u011bnili se za\u00a0tu dobu studenti?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Co se t\u00fd\u010de jejich talentu a\u00a0nad\u00e1n\u00ed, tak ne. Ale m\u00e1m pocit, \u017ee posledn\u00ed dobou p\u0159i studiu mnohem v\u00edc pracuj\u00ed, jako kdyby je rodi\u010de p\u0159est\u00e1vali podporovat. To je velk\u00fd posun oproti minulosti a\u00a0nev\u00edm, jestli je to dob\u0159e. Musej\u00ed se v\u00a0jednu chv\u00edli v\u011bnovat v\u00edce v\u011bcem a\u00a0to se pak projev\u00ed na\u00a0jejich soust\u0159ed\u011bn\u00ed. Ale na\u00a0druhou stranu jsou zase d\u0159\u00edve schopn\u00ed postavit se na\u00a0vlastn\u00ed nohy.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Na\u00a0Letn\u00e9 a\u00a0v\u00a0Hole\u0161ovic\u00edch vznik\u00e1 nov\u00fd Art District 7. Co by v\u00a0takov\u00e9 \u010dtvrti podle v\u00e1s nem\u011blo chyb\u011bt?<br \/>\r\n <\/strong>Je \u0161koda, \u017ee se v\u00a0Praze nenach\u00e1z\u00ed na\u00a0jednom \u00fazem\u00ed z\u00f3na s\u00a0v\u00edce galeriemi, designov\u00fdmi obchody a\u00a0kav\u00e1rnami, co\u017e je b\u011b\u017en\u00e9 v\u00a0cizin\u011b a\u00a0sk\u00fdt\u00e1 to v\u00fdhody jak pro n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvn\u00edky, tak samoz\u0159ejm\u011b pro m\u00edstn\u00ed akt\u00e9ry. Proto\u017ee kdy\u017e se na\u00a0jednom m\u00edst\u011b nach\u00e1z\u00ed nap\u0159\u00edklad deset galeri\u00ed a\u00a0ty se domluv\u00ed na\u00a0vernis\u00e1\u017e\u00edch v\u00a0jeden den, tak logicky p\u0159it\u00e1hnou pozornost v\u00edce n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvn\u00edk\u016f. Je to jednoduch\u00e9 a\u00a0funguje to. Dobr\u00e9 tak\u00e9 je, \u017ee se na\u00a0Sedmi\u010dce nach\u00e1z\u00ed Veletr\u017en\u00ed pal\u00e1c, jen\u017e nyn\u00ed funguje l\u00e9pe ne\u017e kdy p\u0159edt\u00edm. Z\u00a0jeho vernis\u00e1\u017e\u00ed se staly opravdu ud\u00e1losti, kter\u00e9 nav\u0161t\u011bvuje hodn\u011b lid\u00ed. Tak\u00e9 v\u00a0n\u011bm slu\u0161n\u011b funguje Caf\u00e9 Jedna jako m\u00edsto potk\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed a\u00a0hned vedle Studio Hrdin\u016f. Je \u0161koda, \u017ee se odsud odst\u011bhovaly n\u011bkter\u00e9 galerie, jako t\u0159eba Hunt Kastner Artworks. Na\u00a0druhou stranu tu zase m\u00e1me Polansky Gallery, tak\u017ee jsou s\u00edly vyrovnan\u00e9.<strong><br \/>\r\n <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Ji\u0159\u00ed Kovanda (*1953)<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">je konceptu\u00e1ln\u00ed um\u011blec a\u00a0pedagog na\u00a0Akademii v\u00fdtvarn\u00fdch um\u011bn\u00ed v\u00a0Praze a\u00a0na\u00a0Fakult\u011b um\u011bn\u00ed a\u00a0designu UJEP v\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed nad Labem.
